Hormonal Ring
This is a vaginal ring placed inside the vagina that releases the hormone progestin. It is worn for 3 weeks and removed during your period, and replaced.

This is a small T-shaped device inserted into the uterus that releases small doses of progestin daily. It can be in the uterus for 3 to 8 years.

Surgical Sterilization
For females, this is also known as getting your tubes tied. This is a procedure in which the fallopian tubes are tied or closed so that sperm cannot fertilize any eggs.

This is a thin rod inserted under the skin of the upper arm. It contains progestin that is released over a 3-year period.
