When To Get a Mammogram Screening
It is recommended that women ages 40 and older get tested every year. If there is a family history of breast cancer, then it is recommended to start early. Speak to your primary care provider to understand your risk level and to determine when you should get your screening.Â
* Mammography screenings are only available through referral. Please schedule an appointment with your primary care provider for referral.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you should visit your primary care doctor right away:
- Lumps or thickening inside the breast or underarm
- Changes in breast size or shape
- Nipple or breast inversion or retraction
- Sudden nipple discharge
- Breast swelling, redness, warmth, or darkening
- Itchy, scaly nipple sore or rash
- Pain in a new spot that isn't going away
