A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a distinguished background in trauma-informed care and community mental health, Ms. Corey brings years of clinical leadership and a passion for equitable, patient-centered care.
Sara Corey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in trauma-informed care, chronic mental illness, and community mental health. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston and holds advanced clinical training in multiple evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Shame-Informed Treatment. She is also a certified Trauma Treatment Specialist and a Clinical Specialist in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
With a background spanning leadership, direct clinical care, and crisis response, Ms.Corey has served in various roles, including Director of Social Services, Manager of Therapeutic Services, and Project Director at Gulf Coast Center. Her work has focused on supporting both adults and youth through complex mental health challenges, often in collaboration with court systems, schools, and medical teams. She has led multidisciplinary teams, supervised clinical staff, and developed treatment programs that prioritize culturally competent, patient-centered care.
Sara offers compassionate counseling with a focus on helping individuals develop resilience, process trauma, and achieve mental and emotional well-being. Her work is grounded in advocacy, ethics, and a deep commitment to improving access to quality behavioral health care for underserved populations.
