Meet Dr. Krishnamurthy Shivshanker, MD in Gastroenterology
Dr. Krishnamurthy Shivshanker is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. He has been in private practice with Houston Digestive Diseases Consultants since 1984 and has served in various leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at Northwest Memorial Hospital. Under his guidance, the hospital received the prestigious JCAHO “Commendation” award. Â
Dr. Shivshanker also holds the title of Associate Clinical Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where he has been a mentor and educator since 1995. In addition to his professional achievements, he is actively involved in charitable organizations across Houston, including the Food Bank and Indo-American Charities. Â
Specializing in therapeutic interventional endoscopy with a focus on the pancreaticobiliary system, Dr. Shivshanker is dedicated to empowering his patients to make informed decisions about their care.
