Alvin, TX, February 2, 2023 — MyCHN welcomes two new therapy and psychiatry providers to its mental and behavioral health team. Both have years of experience, and their goal is to give their patients the proper mental health care they need.

Meet Our New Therapy & Counseling Providers
Claudia Sotelo, LPC
Claudia Sotelo is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 13 years in public education and counseling. She attained her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her experience ranges from being an elementary teacher, school counselor, and student support counselor. Sotelo is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides virtual and in-person therapy. She is a trauma-informed, mindfulness, and cognitive-based therapist. She has received additional training from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. Claudia Sotelo is passionate about providing a safe space for her patients to work through their past hurts and disappointments. Her goal is to heal one heart at a time. As a Hispanic bilingual counselor, she takes pride in being able to provide clients with Spanish or English sessions. Sotelo is ready to join anyone on their path toward healing. She provides counseling to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. Her ultimate goal is to equip them with the tools to experience today’s peace and confidently face tomorrow’s challenges.
Nisha Santhosh, PSN
Nisha Santhosh is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 6 years of mental health experience and 22 years of nursing experience. Santhosh graduated from Walden University in 2021 with a Master’s in Nursing with an emphasis on mental health. She has worked with various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. During these years, Nisha Santhosh has acquired many insights into the state of mental health within many communities and decided that her passion is to educate people about mental health. She wants to erase the negative stereotypes portrayed and projected towards mental health. Santhosh is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Texas Nurses Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
