MyCHN Pharmacy Receives URAC Accreditations for Specialty Pharmacy and Mail Service Pharmacy: Press Release

Houston, TX, August 16, 2022 — Community Health Network announced today that the CHN PHARMACY has been awarded Full Specialty Pharmacy and Mail Service Pharmacy accreditations from URAC. URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission) is a Washington, DC-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes rigorous quality standards for the healthcare industry.

The Mail Service accreditation allows CHN to mail prescriptions directly to its patients. URAC’s standards cover core organizational quality, customer service, communications, drug utilization management, pharmacy operations, and a process for outcomes measurement and quality improvement. The Specialty Pharmacy accreditation allows CHN to dispense specialty drugs for lesser-known diseases, which are difficult to find and at high prices. Specialty Pharmacies are generally used by patients who require maintenance medications for chronic conditions. CHN is able to provide access to all its patients that utilize CHN Pharmacy access to these specialty drugs.   The Mail Service accreditation allows CHN to mail prescriptions directly to its patients.
