Covid-19 Testing at Angleton’s Fair Grounds Press Release

Pearland, TX, April 20, 2020, — Community Health Network’s mission to provide accessible
quality healthcare to our patients and communities we serve has served as a catalyst for our
partnerships with key local organizations.
Community Health Network (CHN) is partnering with the Brazoria County Department to
provide free testing at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds in Angleton, TX in response to the
COVID-19 crisis in Texas and across the United States. CHN has provided COVID-19
prescreening and testing since mid-March when the first cases of the virus presented in Brazoria
County. CHN’s Chief Medical Officer adopted the protocols outlined by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for
CHN to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
Angleton’s testing site hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 AM to 6 PM and
Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2 PM: 281-824-1480.
CHN’s Call Center is prepared to assist with calls or questions community members seeking
testing. The call center is available Monday- Friday from 7:30 AM to 6 PM: 281-824-1480.

available for access to care. Our healthcare team stands to uplift the community with education,
prevention and testing for COVID-19 but does not hesitate to lead the way in essential services
in primary care,” said Dr. Yvette Poindexter, Community Health Network’s Chief Medical
Officer.
Community Health Network is a system of federally qualified health clinics located in Brazoria,
Galveston, and Harris Counties that provide pharmacy, primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics and
gynecology, women’s health, men’s health, senior health, oral health care, psychiatry, and
therapy. Community Health Network is dedicated to developing systems of care that are of high
value to the people we serve. We accept Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, private insurance, and cash
payments. Individuals and families that are uninsured may be eligible for care at a discounted
price, and patients that are not eligible will find substantial value in our office visits, lab costs,
and pharmacy pricing.
Community Health Network offers access to Telehealth and Telemedicine for pediatric,
counseling, therapeutic services, obstetrics and prenatal care, and adult medicine. For additional
