Virtual Care During Winter Storm Uri Press Release

Pearland, TX, February 18, 2021 — Community Health Network will continue to provide accessible behavioral health and medical services during the Winter Storm Uri. CHN leadership is presently monitoring Storm Uri to assess the need to transition to virtual care as part of its Emergency Preparedness Plan. CHN plans to open their Alvin, Angleton, Freeport, Houston, and League City, Texas sites, including their pharmacies, on Friday, February 19, 2021.

During this time, CHN providers will be available for virtual and in-person appointments, including counseling, psychiatry, pediatrics, acute and chronic medical, and women’s health (gynecology and obstetrics). “CHN is dedicated to the communities we serve. We have struggled not being accessible for our patients these past few days, but we finally have the power and water resources needed to reopen,” stated Mark Young, CEO.
