Pearland, TX, August 25, 2020 — Community Health Network will continue to provide accessible behavioral health and medical services during a national emergency and a natural disaster. CHN leadership is presently monitoring Hurricane Laura to assess the need to transition to virtual care as part of its Emergency Preparedness Plan. All CHN clinic sites will close on
Wednesday, August 26th at 3:00 PM, to allow our staff members to get home before the anticipated weather event. CHN leadership will determine on Thursday morning if clinic sites are able to open. CHN’s Angleton and West Columbia testing sites are closed until further notice due to the impending storm.
During this time, CHN providers will be available for virtual appointments including counseling, psychiatry, pediatrics, acute and chronic medical, and women’s health (gynecology and obstetrics). “We want to maintain access to care while ensuring the safety of our patients and staff,” stated Mark Young, CEO.
CHN’s Call Center is prepared to assist with calls or questions from community members seeking virtual services. Our call center is available Monday- Sunday from 7:30 AM to 6 PM: 281-954-4850 or 281-824-1480. People may also self-schedule for care through the health center’s patient portal. Enrollment for services and to the portal is available at CHN’s website, www.mychn.org. New patients are being accepted for all services.
