Tanya Rollins is a bilingual Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Texas Health Science and the Houston Ciziki School of Nursing. Rollins specializes in diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications for patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, and more. She combines 15 years of emergency room nursing experience and 14 years of mental health expertise to serve her patients and families. Working as an emergency room nurse has allowed her to work with complex health situations, including mental illness and health crises. She fights against mental health stigma in minority communities and believes that stigma is a barrier to treatment, keeping a person in a potentially life-threatening situation. Tanya Rollins advocates that mental health is critical to a patient’s overall health and is ready to work with them to get to a better place. Rollins values education and collaboration to deliver whole-person and patient-centered care.
