Sharita Smith is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Governors State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University.
Ms. Smith has extensive experience in primary care, women’s health, and chronic disease management. She provides full-scope women’s health services, including preventive care, contraceptive management, preconception counseling, and early prenatal care.
In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Smith is a strong leader and advocate for public health initiatives. She has contributed to quality improvement efforts, led outreach programs focused on HIV prevention and health equity, and played a key role in enhancing clinic workflows and patient engagement. She is actively involved in professional organizations and serves as President of the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners.
