Gardenia Paul is a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience in the educational and healthcare fields. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Gardenia has honed her skills in providing specialized care to pediatric and maternal populations, with a particular focus on Hispanic/Latinx immigrant communities. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Houston Clear Lake and her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Since obtaining her LCSW in 2023, Gardenia has been committed to delivering excellent and accessible mental health care to her patients.

Gardenia is dedicated to addressing complex medical, developmental, and behavioral diagnoses in pediatric populations. She has extensive experience in treating substance use disorders in maternal and perinatal populations, anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, school issues, family conflict, abuse, grief and loss, and much more. Her expertise is backed by her involvement in significant research and publications, including co-authoring the abstract “What Influences Changes in Patients’ End-of-Life Treatment Preferences over Time?” and assisting in research for the book “Political Social Work: Using Power to Create Change.”

Gardenia is a member of the Latin Social Workers of Greater Houston. Her professional interests include pediatric and adolescent mental health care, working with Hispanic/Latinx immigrant populations, macro social work targeting systematic issues and policy, and research aimed at breaking down psychosocial barriers for disenfranchised populations. Gardenia Paul’s extensive experience, empathetic approach, and unwavering commitment to her patients make her an invaluable asset to the field of behavioral health.
