About the provider

Dr. Kymberly Butler is a highly skilled and forward-thinking physician dedicated to improving the health of her patients. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Butler’s contributions include non-clinical medicine, clinical practice, medical staff education, organizational management, research participation, professional presentations, program development, and direct patient care.
Dr. Butler’s educational journey began with a B.A. in Biology from Texas A&M University in 1992, followed by a Post-Baccalaureate in Medical Science from Hahnemann University in 1993, and an M.D. from Hahnemann University in 1997. She completed her Family Practice and Community Medicine Residency at the University of Texas, Houston, from 1998 to 2001. She holds a Texas State License and is Board Eligible for Family Practice.
Dr. Butler provides comprehensive healthcare, from preventative and acute care to women’s health procedures and more. Her dedication to reducing health disparities is evident in her work with the Houston Healthy Women’s Program, which aims to decrease maternal and infant morbidity and mortality among lower socioeconomic women. Additionally, Dr. Butler is a researcher and presenter. She has contributed to studies comparing contraceptive methods and has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award from the University of Texas at Houston Family Practice Residency. She is an active member of professional organizations such as the Mary Susan Moore Medical Society and the Houston Medical Forum. Dr. Butler’s ultimate goal is to decrease healthcare disparities and ensure access to quality healthcare for all, regardless of socioeconomic status.
