Silverlake, TX October 10th, 2023 – MyCHN proudly announces a new behavioral health provider to its MyCHN Silverlake mental health team. Dr. Cottrell Jacobs is a Doctor of Psychology who uses proven therapy techniques in addition to empathy and compassion to ensure his patient’s wellness continues to grow. Dr. Jacobs will provide in-person and virtual behavioral health services starting in October.

Dr. Cottrell Jacobs, PsyD, LPC-SÂ
Cottrell Jacobs is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Psychology specializing in Behavioral Health Leadership. He started off by receiving his bachelor’s degree at Prairie View A&M University in Mass Communication. Later, he furthered his education and received a master’s in counseling and culminating in a Doctorate of a specialized field of Psychology. Dr. Jacobs has 16 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health service. He has played roles in behavioral health management, consulting for organizational change, financial management, and procurement, instruction and training, data analysis and presentation, program evaluation, and qualitative assessment research. He also has a publication of his own that was completed in 2021.Â
