Freeport, TX November 29th, 2023 – MyCHN, in partnership with the Rho Xi Chapter Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, the Martin Luther King Celebration Committee, and Communities in Schools of Brazoria County (CIS) is hosting a Christmas with Santa: Children’s Holiday Event, to give back to the students in Brazoria ISD. Toys, gift cards, hot meals, food baskets, and 20 bikes will be given away to the children attending the event. In addition to the efforts of our partners, Brazoria County Dream Center has stepped in to provide non-perishable food items for memorable meals this Christmas holiday.
MyCHN is using this opportunity to help close gaps in health disparities and spark change in the communities we serve. Children are the core of family and community. As leaders, we want to contribute to their well-being so that they may grow into healthy adults, ready to share their talents with the world. MyCHN is constantly working to remind our communities of the benefits of play as it contributes to their overall health. We also wish to emphasize the importance of a well-balanced diet.
Vouchers for the event will be distributed by Communities in Schools at the following campuses: Brazosport High School, Lanier Elementary School, and Freeport Intermediate. Please note that students attending must have a voucher to receive gifts and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
