Houston, TX, September 27th, 2024 — MyCHN is pleased to announce the newest addition to its healthcare team Abigail Fosuh-Appiah, a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner. Fosuh-Appiah brings a wealth of experience to MyCHN, with an extensive background in nursing that spans acute care, psychiatric mental health, and long-term care.
Abigail Fosuh-Appiah is a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with a Master of Science in Family Practice Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. She brings many years of experience from her extensive background in nursing, having served in various roles in acute care, psychiatric mental health, and long-term care.
Fosuh-Appiah has significant experience in some of the leading healthcare institutions, including three years at Ben Taub and LBJ Hospitals, where she worked in the Rapid Admission Unit and MedSurg. Additionally, she served as a Charge Nurse for a year at Martin Luther King’s Clinic, further honing her leadership and clinical skills.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from National American University. Additionally, Fosuh-Appiah has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) since 2013 and a Registered Nurse (RN) since 2018. Abigail is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
An active member of the Texas Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Abigail is committed to staying current with best practices in healthcare. Her approach to patient care is rooted in a deep respect for patient autonomy, dignity, and values, ensuring that each individual receives personalized and compassionate care.
