Orji-Dor received her Master of Social Work degree from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in 2015, following her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Her deep understanding of human behavior and emotional well-being informs her compassionate and effective approach to therapy. Specializing in areas such as first-generation culture navigation, couples counseling, adjustment to motherhood/parenthood, and stress management, Oriji-Dor utilizes a blend of therapeutic approaches, including attachment-based therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Her certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional equips her with the expertise to address trauma-related concerns effectively.Â
She is deeply committed to ongoing professional development, frequently engaging in extensive reading, attending trainings, and participating in peer consultations to expand her clinical knowledge and skills. As a firm believer in equitable access to high-quality mental health care for all individuals, Onyi actively supports this belief by serving as a board member for a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing low-cost or free mental health services to underserved communities.Â
