Jaquelin demonstrated exceptional empathy and quick thinking during a recent situation outside the clinic. While working on a report at the front desk, she noticed through the window that a young child outside was vomiting while the child’s father was trying to comfort and care for him. Jaquelin stopped what they were doing without hesitation. She gathered a barf bag and a bottle of water and rushed outside to help. Jaquelin’s first instinct was to care for the child and support the father. Jaquelin then calmly checked in with the father to ensure the child was okay and assessed whether additional help was needed. She thoughtfully offered to bring them inside to cool down and provided the option of scheduling an appointment with one of our providers to have the child evaluated. Although the father declined further assistance, Jaquelin respected his decision while continuing to express genuine care and concern. The father sincerely thanked Jaquelin for their kindness and quick response.
