A mom came in for an ultrasound that would last about an hour. She brought her 3 small children along for the visit, and understandably, the baby became very upset, crying and screaming. Evelyn noticed this and kindly knocked on the door, asking the ultrasound tech and mom if she could hold the baby to help calm her down while the tech finished the ultrasound. Mom happily agreed, and Evelyn took the baby, who was sweaty and very distressed. She gently walked around the clinic, speaking softly until the baby calmed down and the mom’s visit was complete. Mom was incredibly appreciative and said no one had ever done something like that at any doctor’s office before, and kept thanking Evelyn. This is precisely what MyCHN is all about: meeting our patients’ needs and truly caring about their experiences. We are so grateful to Evelyn for stepping up and making this mom’s visit a GREAT one. In the end, we had a happy baby and an even happier mom.
