Pearland, TX, May 12, 2020, — Community Health Network is driven by its mission to provide healthcare services to the communities it serves by following and adhering to the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Community Health Networks has expanded the testing guidance to include asymptomatic first responders and medical providers caring for patients positive with COVID-19. Community Health Network is also expanding testing to individuals with specific chronic diseases, even if they present no symptom(s). Testing is being broadened to accommodate these new populations for their health and safety at the recommendation of new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
“As we learn new information each day on COVID-19, we understand testing is a key factor in the prevention of community spread, including screening and testing of asymptomatic persons. Community Health Network performs viral and antibody testing depending on COVID-19 health screening to determine an active or past infection. If you test positive or negative for COVID-19, no matter what type of test is determined, you still must do your part to protect yourself and others through social distancing, face masks, and hand hygiene,” said Yvette M. Poindexter, M.D., Community Health Network’s Chief Medical Officer.
