Lake Jackson, TX, June 19th, 2025 MyCHN is honored to announce the addition of Shelly Waters, a distinguished dual-certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner, to our team of experienced healthcare professionals. Ms. Waters brings over two decades of advanced clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, and family practice to her new role, strengthening MyCHN’s commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care to the communities we serve. 

Meet Shelly Waters MSN, FNP-BC, ENP-C

Shelly Waters holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the recipient of the Best Student Award. She further advanced her expertise by completing a Post-Master’s Emergency Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. 

With a deep-rooted presence in the Lake Jackson community, Ms. Waters has provided care in numerous clinical settings, including CHI at Brazosport and Sweeny Community Hospital. Her areas of clinical proficiency include emergency medicine, pediatric care, and comprehensive family practice, with a particular focus on acute care management and rapid response interventions. 

Beyond her extensive clinical practice, Ms. Waters has played a key leadership role in healthcare systems. She has contributed to the development of advanced practice protocols, served as Lead Advanced Practice Provider, and provided mentorship for the next generation of nurse practitioners. Her service exemplifies both clinical excellence and a strong dedication to professional development. 

Shelly Waters is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Phi Kappa Phi, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional integrity and lifelong learning.
