Shelly Waters is a dual-certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of experience in emergency and urgent care settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Best Student Award. She also completed a Post-Master’s Emergency Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Waters has served the Lake Jackson community for many years, including long-standing roles in local emergency departments and clinics such as CHI at Brazosport and Sweeny Community Hospital. Her clinical expertise spans emergency medicine, pediatric care, and family practice, with a strong emphasis on acute care and rapid response.
In addition to her clinical work, Waters has contributed to the development of advanced practice protocols, served as Lead Advanced Practice Provider, and mentored new nurse practitioners. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Phi Kappa Phi.
