About the provider

Mireya Navarro is a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care across the lifespan. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. With clinical experience at MyCHN and a strong foundation in acute rehabilitation, Navarro brings both technical expertise and a heartfelt commitment to the patients she serves. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Navarro worked as a registered nurse at TIRR Memorial Hermann, where she cared for patients recovering from acute spinal cord injuries. In that role, she excelled in patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical leadership—earning numerous honors, including the 2023 Employee of the Year Award and multiple nominations for the Houston Chronicle’s Salute to Nurses. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, patient advocacy, and health education. Known for her warm bedside manner and strong communication skills, Navarro strives to build trusting relationships with patients and families. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
