Prevention Starts With One Simple Step!
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States — but it is also one of the most preventable. When detected early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable.
When Should You Get Screened?
- Adults age 45 and older should begin regular colorectal cancer screening.
- Earlier screening may be recommended if you:
- Have a family history of colorectal cancer
- Have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Have certain genetic conditions
- Have a history of polyps
Not sure if you’re due for screening? Even if you are under 45, talk to a provider if you experience:
- Blood in stool
- Persistent abdominal pain or cramping
- Unexplained weight loss
- Ongoing fatigue
- Changes in bowel habits (diarrhea or constipation)
